175th Anniversary of Littleborough Railway Station

Littleborough Railway Station is having a grand Anniversary Celebration today, Friday 04 July 2014.

The Station will be having a celebration on the morning of Friday 4th July 2014 at 11 o’clock , Simon Danczuk, MP for Rochdale, will unveil a commemorative plaque, kindly sponsored by Fothergill Engineered Fabrics Ltd.

Littleborough Railway Station Platform Sept 2013

This year, Littleborough Railway Station celebrates its 175th anniversary of the opening. A gala opening ceremony took place on the 3rd July 1939, and the line was opened to the public on the 4th. They have also produced a short history of the Station, which, along with our now famous fridge magnets, will be on sale on the day. Everyone is invited to join them for the unveiling, followed by coffee and biscuits.
